GIBRALTAR, February 8, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ –Popular bingo website 32Red Bingo has revealed back-to-back promotions throughout the month of February.
Online bingo fans are anticipating a big February, as 32Red Bingo announced a string of promotions and themed games. In addition to weekly promotions, the site is running a £1,500 MegaPot Game at the end of the month.
The month kicked off with Reverse Bingo Week (Feb 1-5), in which cash bonuses start high and get lower as the game progresses. Players who daubed one complete line won £2, while full house winners netted an extra pound.
Between the 6th-12th February, Nabor Week credits a bingo bonus to players above or below winning full house players in these special games.
To mark Valentine’s Day, Share the Love Week runs from the 13th to the 19th of February. For the entire week, every single bingo win on these promotional games nets an extra pound on top of the standard payout.
The last week of February – and the extra leap day on the 29th – sees the introduction of Full House Week. Every full house is awarded extra bonus prizes within bonanza games. Players who achieve a full house between the 20th and 29th of February wins an extra £3 bingo bonus.
The highlight of the month will be the £1,500 MegaPot, to be given away in a huge bingo game on the 24th February. For every £20 deposited, players win one ticket for the game. For every £20 wagered, players get another ticket.
Bingo bonus prizes are automatically credited after a win. For Nabor Week, Share The Love Week and Full House Week, only depositing players with no active duplicate accounts are eligible to win.

Last minute Valentine’s Day inspiration
February 20, 2012
February 14, 2012 5:09 PM
It’s not easy to remember buying chocolate and condoms between the stress of midterms and a potential strike.
Whether you want to go out on a date or stay home with friends, get inspired with some last minute suggestions for celebrating Valentine’s Day.
Easy baking
Yesterday, the technology blog Mashable released an article displaying 12 Pinterest boards for Valentine’s Day inspiration. Amongst a variety of outlets suggesting recipes for homemade personal treats is The Twinery’s heart-shaped conversation cookies.
If you don’t have time to make the dough from scratch, conversation cookies can be made by using two ingredients: Pillsbury’s Valentine’s Day cookie dough and classic candy hearts.
Even if you don’t agree with the “let’s kiss” or “love sux” messages, these cookies can be personalized with your own words by jumbling the order of the candy hearts within the cookie. Creating messages from “I love you” paired with “my baby” or “U R special” with “love sux.”
The plaza on the corner of Bridgeport Road W and Weber Street in Waterloo has a Sobey’s for the Pillsbury’s valentine dough day as well as a Bulk Barn for Valentine’s Day candy.
Another two step recipe found on Pinterest is Cookies and Cups’ strawberry fudge. This recipe is made by mixing strawberry icing with a bag of melted white chocolate chips, set in the fridge to harden. It’s not real fudge, but it’s festive.
Homemade cards
If you’re too busy to make Valentine’s Day cards and too broke to buy some, turn to your solution for everything else in life: the Internet.
There are lots of free printable Valentine’s Day card online, ranging from cartoon dictators to hilarious messages from characters of Community.
These cards can be printed off at home or from The Hub on campus using thick, laminated paper to make them look much more expensive than the 30 cents they’ll actually cost.
Other printable Valentine’s Day ideas also include V-Day bingo cards. Bingo cards can be customizable depending on who you’re celebrating with and what you’re willing to gamble.
Last minute dinner plans
What do you love more than each other? Food.
Whether you’re eating locally or out of town, use Foursquare to find a well-reviewed restaurant (since it’s likely some of your favourite places will be booked) to research the atmosphere, recommended specials and the price range in advance.
If you’re looking for more casual evening, reference wherethefuckshouldigofordrinks.com. Answer “Where the fuck are you?” on the website and click “Find me a fucking place to drink.” The website will display the suggested location on a map. If you’d like to learn more about that location, this website provides a link to the bar’s website. If you’d like to see more options, click “No, that place looks shit” and more recommendations will appear.

Resurgence of bingo supports local charities
February 17, 2012
One little duck (2) and two fat ladies (88) bang on a drum (71) at the top of the shops (90). This sentence may sound like gibberish to most people, but thanks to Bayfair Shopping Centre and a local bingo revival, five local charities will benefit from these types of daily bingo calls in-centre.
Every time a bingo number is drawn and announced in-centre between Monday 6 and Sunday 19 February, Bayfair will match the dollar value and assign it to a charitable fund. Shoppers are encouraged to cast their vote on how they would like the fund to be divided between the Child Cancer Foundation, Homes of Hope, Tauranga SPCA, Breast Cancer Support Service and Tauranga Equestrian Therapy Centre (RDA). To date, $1,059 has been assigned to the fund and is set to increase by the end of the week. The total will be divided amongst the charities once the final votes are received on Wednesday 29 February.
Bayfair marketing manager Nina Rivett says it is a pleasure to support these local charities and the important work they do for the community. “Shoppers can also show their support by casting their vote at the station located at the Bayfair Information Desk (outside Kmart).
“The traditional game of Bingo was first played by the Romans hundreds of years ago and in recent times has been a hit in primary schools and lifestyle villages. Bringing the game to the centre in a range of formats during February means the whole community, young and old, can have some fun and have the chance to win some great prizes.”
Local charities are not the only ones who will be benefitting from the bingo festivities. Each day, between now and Sunday 19 February, Bayfair is offering shoppers the chance to win back the value of their purchase in gift cards by keeping their February receipts and matching the total dollar amount shown to numbers drawn at random and announced in-centre at 11am and 3pm each day. Anyone with a matching receipt must be the first person to present this at the Bayfair Information Desk (outside Kmart) within 60 minutes of the call being made.
Live bingo games have also been taking place in-centre with more than more than 70 eager players filling the Bayfair food court last week. On Wednesday 15 February, between 10am and 11am, Bayfair will host its second round of bingo games, where there will be some great prizes up for grabs.
Until Wednesday 29 February, shoppers can also input the details of their purchases made during the month at Bayfair on bayfair.co.nz in order to enter a grand prize draw with a chance to win a $10,000 shopping spree. The more receipts you have, the more chances there are to win.

VTR North to open in Manchester
February 14, 2012
Leeds-based post-production firm VTR North is investing £500,000 in a new office in Manchester. The firm, which has worked on ads for DFS, Gala Bingo and Jet2, has taken a lease on 3,000 sq ft in John Dalton Street, in central Manchester.VTR, which has 11 staff in Leeds, is converting the space into a facility that will provide visual effects, editing, graphic design and sound mixing services for TV and advertising. The office, which is due to open in April, will employ eight people.Carl Walters, who set up the business with Chris Birks in 2005, said he hoped to capitalise on the BBC’s move to MediaCityUK but he chose to work from the city centre to be close to the big advertising agencies.
“We don’t want to pigeon hole ourselves as just providing services for the BBC. Being in central Manchester allows us to work with BBC North and the rest of MediaCity but, importantly, also allows us to be within walking distance of Manchester’s biggest advertising agencies. “It also gives us proximity to bars, restaurants and other amenities that might appeal to people who want to do their visual effects, graphics and audio work outside of Media City.”Five years ago there was talk of VTR branching out into Manchester through a tie-up with Sumners which Walters described as a first ‘toe in the water’?.“We’ve always had one eye on Manchester,” he said. “Leeds has been good to us and will continue to be our home but Manchester is a bigger market that offers more opportunities. “With the arrival of BBC North and the city’s booming commercials sector there is major demand for the type of high-end finishing work that we do. We don’t want to take over the world but if we want to grow the business, then opening an office in Manchester seems like a natural progression.”?

Zynga Brings Social Gaming To The Bingo Hall With Newest Title
February 1, 2012
There’s been one trend we’ve been noticing over the past few years when it comes to Zynga’s game development strategy. The social gaming giant likes to re-create classic games like Hangman or hidden puzzles and add social elements for gameplay. We saw this with the release of Hanging With Friends, Scramble With Friends, Hidden Chronicles. And As Zynga revealed in October, next up is Bingo. Today, the company is revealing its social take on Bingo via a Facebook game, which will be joining Zynga Poker in Zynga’s newest franchise, Zynga Casino. Currently, the game is in private beta but will be launching to the public soon.
In terms of actual gameplay, Zynga Bingo works similarly to the way an ordinary bingo game works. And if you’ve played Zynga Poker before, the game mechanics and nuances will feel familiar to you as well. As numbers are called out in the game, you cross off those that match on your card, with the winner being the first person who reaches a consecutive pattern on the card from the drawn numbers.
The main difference is the social aspect of Zynga Bingo. When you start the game, you’ll be promoted to enter themed bingo rooms and compete against friends or other random players on Facebook simultaneously, challenging buddies in a race to get B-I-N-G-O faster. Similar to Zynga Poker, players can chat and see which rooms their friends are in.
Each room has a theme. There’s Vegas Lights, which has a Las Vegas Casino theme; Pirate’s Paradise; and a FarmVille-themed Bounty room. And as you collect more tickets from wins, you’ll be able to unlock secret rooms as well.
As you are considering which room to enter, you can also choose how many Bingo cards you’d like to play. Players can compete with up to six cards at once, and you use your tickets to purchase more cards.
Within the game, you can also use what Zynga calls “power-ups” to progress faster, get coins and win collectibles to level-up. One type of power-up relates to friend help, which enabled a friend to automatically daubs a free square on each of your cards and complete your cards faster.
Nicole Opas, Senior Producer for Zynga Bingo, says the gaming company will be considering extending Zynga Bingo to mobile platforms in the future. Zynga Bingo was created by Zynga’s Austin, Texas and New York studios in collaboration with the Zynga Casino team in San Francisco.
It should be interesting to see how the slew of games released in the fourth quarter helped boost both Zynga’s revenue and usership numbers. The company is expected to deliver Q4 earnings on February 14, and Zynga’s stock rating just got a boost, and could see a traffic boost from some of the newly launches game titles.
